I oppose the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007. Our endangered species are already under significant threat because of habitat destruction and climate change. We are already losing species daily because of these impacts. Taking shortcuts and fast tracking approvals will only make the situation worse. Please stop a short-sighted attempt to fast track projects, and take a longer term approach that will enable endangered species to survive as well as encourage finding approaches and solutions that do not threaten further the survival of endangered species.
