An animals den and the area immediately around the den does not in any way represent the space animals need to be a healthy, reproducing population which is the goal right? The area an animal needs includes home range size for individuals, the number of individuals needed to sustain a population and hopefully bring it out of endangered or vulnerable status, and the amount of suitable habitat necessary to provide species needs such as adequate prey base, forage base, access to clean water, and freedom from the stress of human disturbance. Your narrow view of what animals need would be hilarious and you would be bounced as incompetent by anyone with a brain. The fact that this has been brought up is frightening in a supposed first world nation.
