I am writing to express my deep opposition to the proposed Bill 5. This bill represents a direct attack on the rights of Ontarians and the protection of our precious wildlife. It is an abomination to the democratic values we hold dear and a step backward in our collective responsibility to steward this land and its ecosystems.
Ontario’s natural heritage is not for sale, nor should it be subjected to reckless development at the expense of biodiversity and public interest. Bill 5 is not just a piece of legislation, it is a betrayal of the trust citizens have placed in their government to protect our environment, uphold our rights, and serve future generations.
I urge you to withdraw this bill immediately. Ontarians will not stand idly by while our wildlife is put in jeopardy and our rights are eroded.
