I am strongly opposed to Bill 5 and changes to the Endangered Species Act. We should continue to have strong measures in place to protect habitat and local biodiversity across the province, which is the entire reason behind the ESA. I strongly oppose any legislation that would allow shortcuts for industry to destroy precious habitat and ecosystems in this province for the sake of development. We must continue to have strict environmental legislation that protects endangered species in Ontario.
