I strongly oppose the recent changes to Ontario’s species-at-risk protections (Bill 5). These amendments delay habitat safeguards, weaken oversight, and allow industry to harm ecosystems in exchange for payment. This prioritizes short-term industrial gain over long-term environmental stability, threatening biodiversity and the health of future generations. Ontario should be strengthening protections, not gutting them to benefit developers.
