I strongly oppose bill 5. We require stronger environmental protections, not the other way around. Additionally, industry of all shapes must not be able to bypass protection restrictions or public oversight.
This bill will set Ontario back decades in environmental protections. It is industrial responsibility to find ways to operate in environmentally sound ways, not the governments job to lift environmental and endangered species protections to make industry easier.
