I strongly oppose the government’s proposal of Bill 5.
I demand strong environmental protections that safeguard our land, air, and water for current and future generations.
I call for stronger protections for endangered species and their habitats — not weaker standards that put them at even greater risk.
I firmly oppose any shortcuts for industry that remove or weaken public oversight, accountability, and environmental review.
I reject any measures that override existing environmental and planning laws, including within so-called “special economic zones."
Bill 5 undermines the public interest, threatens our natural heritage, and prioritizes short-term industrial gains over long-term environmental responsibility. I urge the government to withdraw this proposal immediately.
