I am just a regular Ontario resident. I am a educator and activist who sees right through this terrible legislation for what it is. A dismantling of the checks and balances that are in place to ensure our environment is safeguarded for ourselves and future generations. I am not sure what is more offensive, this terrible legislation or the fact the government thought so carelessly that they could slip it by Ontarians. The latter being a total insult to our collective intelligence! Get rid of this offensive piece of legislation and find a way forward that respects the rule of law. Allow for development of mines, highways and other infrastruture that takes into account the respect of locals, indigenous peoples and the duly elected officials!
