Please do not weaken our commitment to protecting wildlife and their habitats in Ontario. Ontario is home to many animals on the endangered species list and it is our duty to protect them and their homes to ensure these animals survive. Our natural resources are not something to squander and must be respected and protected. Removing safe guards like consultation with Indigenous groups will only lead to dangerous outcomes for humans and animals also alike. Resistance to large projects such as mining and drilling ensures proper research and planning. As my father would say, you can't get the same quality of results when you rush things. Rushing projects puts Ontario residents and our ecosystem in jeopardy.
As a lifelong Ontario resident, I don't want our natural resources pillaged and our envionemnt ruined. We need to protect our environment so future Ontarians can enjoy the same beauty we have all enjoyed.
