I strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act and the introduction of the Species Conservation Act, 2025. Nature is not a disposable commodity—our ecosystems, wildlife, and biodiversity are worth more than short-term profits and unaffordable housing developments that benefit only wealthy developers. Weakening protections for species at risk is short-sighted and irresponsible. Ontario should be a leader in conservation, not a cautionary tale. Please prioritize long-term environmental stewardship over reckless development.
That’s a NO to bill 5
