I do not support the proposed changes to Bill 5 which reduces protections to the endangered species act and species conservation act. I do understand that critical infrastructure and housing processes need to speed up but I do not believe it should be at the cost to our environment. We have a duty to protect these species as once they are gone, they are gone forever. I don't think it's too much to expect our government to protect endangered species, provide conservation AND also improve processes for approvals of infrastructure and housing.
