I am deeply opposed to Bill 5. We need to be protecting our species, their habitats and the environment. Removing protections to allow the government to fast track industrial projects without oversight. This is not the way to govern in a fair and democratic environment. When Ford says Canada is not for sale, that means Ontario too. You can’t just pick and choose what to protect based on what suits you. Protecting our environment and our climate may be harder in the short term, but it will be meaningful for generations to come.
