I oppose this bill. Eliminating public oversight to circumvent regulations is an appalling act of overstepping the boundaries of government.
This is not an issue of “eliminating red tape”, this is one where the government is trying to circumvent the law as a means to do whatever they want without accountability.
If the Ontario Science Centre, Ontario Place spa, bike lane removal, and forcing nurses back to work were examples of this government’s failure to follow reasonable public policy, this Bill is another notch in the belt for this government’s move towards gutting public voice and transparency in projects that directly impact the people today and in the future.
Nothing short of shameful.
