Bill 5 must not be passed!
Repealing the Endangered Species Act will be disastrous for the protection of important natural habitats in Ontario. Once gone these cannot be reclaimed and will hurt future generations of Ontario and the planet. Our children and theirs, and all who follow.
Further, the muzzling of public input and autonomous local governments in development matters, as well as the dictatorial measures on the part of the Premier or his designates that this Bill would permit, are blatantly NOT democratic and a betrayal of the trust Ontarians granted this government.
The fact that these measures will only aid the Premier’s friends in the development industry is painfully obvious and fools no one.
It smacks of the draconian style of governing that Donald Trump has pursued recently, and is not acceptable here.
Abandon Bill 5!!!
