I urgently oppose Bill 5. I want strong, environmental protections and not shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones. I have shared this with the media and all my friends and family that live in Ontario. weakening the legislation of the Endangered Species Act would open the door to unchecked, habitat destruction, undermining, the integrity of ecosystems that are already under stress from climate, change, development, and pollution. These proposed changes threaten more than environmental protections, they directly contradict Canada‘s commitment to uphold Indigenous rights and steward lands in collaboration with First Nations. Please do the right thing and stand up for future generations. Show us that leadership includes listening.
