I don't think these changes…

I don't think these changes will be a good idea. The existing process is in place to protect our natural areas. I don't think the current delay is so bad that these protections should be changed. Especially since it is to make way for "new builds" that will not likely fix the housing crisis we are in and will just put more money in the pockets of those who can already afford to own housing at the expense of our wildlife. Start with rent control, maximum house pricing, banning multiple homes, tax empty homes. These things can all be done to fix the housing crisis.
