I am a tax paying citizen of Ontario, living in Guelph. I am extremely upset that the Ontario government is considering gutting our Endangered Species Act, and making exceptions for the sake of short term economic gain. Building projects have their place, but nothing replaces the richness of our natural world, and once our precious habitats and farmlands are gone, they are gone for good (or at least hundreds of years). Please reconsider why you would put money above the wealth that comes from healthy food, clean water, clean air, and beautiful birds, animals and healthy trees. I am a young mother and I want these things for my children and for the generations to come. I am strongly, strongly opposed to Bill 5, and it's moves like this that make me no longer support or want to vote for the current Ford government.
