I do not support Bill 5.
I want increased protections for the environment, or at minimum, they should remain the same.
I oppose shortcuts for industry with no oversight from the public at any time, but especially when our current government is under suspicion of granting favour to friends and donors.
Carte blanche power should not be granted to any one person. We only have to look south to see how ridiculous and dangerous that approach is.
A far better approach is to streamline review processes through improved staffing and modernization.
Lastly, can't a reasonable argument be made that this violates our Charter as it relates to restriction of powers, and indigenous rights and protections?
