Removing or reducing protections for our environment and wildlife is a step in the wrong direction.
In a time when ecosystems are being lost, wildlife species are becoming extinct and our water sources need protection, this Bill will put more trust in commercial land developers to put our resources before their profits when we have no reason to trust them. These developers have shown repeatedly that they do not care about anything above their profit. This land belongs to not just us, but our children and grandchildren. This land belongs to the wildlife that calls it home and whose homes have been under assault by land developers for decades.
Enough is enough. Build on already developed land and leave the our natural spaces, waterways and wildlife alone.
Not to mention the farmland that I’m sure these developers have their eyes on at a time when we need to increase local food supplies not reduce them.
Stop this proposal and stop putting the profits of Doug Ford’s developers friends and donors over our precious ecosystems!
