I express my vehement opposition to Bill No. 5 (Species Conservation Act, 2025) and the proposed weakening of the Endangered Species Act. This is a reckless move that sacrifices Ontario’s biodiversity for short-term industrial interests. Gutting science-based protections and silencing expert oversight is unacceptable. We need stronger—not weaker—laws to protect at-risk species and preserve our natural heritage.
