I strongly oppose the overriding of current laws against environmental interest. The implementation of bill 5 would put several endangered and threatened species at risk which is not something that should be taken lightly. The use of it to create "special zones" seems to be yet another way this government tries to pave over the greenbelt. May I remind the government that once this land is paved over (swamps/farmland/etc) it will never be able to be restored to its original state. We have land elsewhere in the province and these shortcuts are despicable.
