At a time when our wildlife numbers, particularly bird species, are declining year over year, weakening protections for them is appalling, outrageous. That's essentially what this change to the regulations is doing. Don't do this! We can't afford to lose more birds.
And "sustainable economic growth" is a contradiction in terms. "Growth" is inherently not sustainable! We live on a finite planet. When we lose something, we can't get it back - it's gone forever. Future generations depend on us making wise decisions today, not sacrificing nature by creating wiggle room in regulations, so a few people can get rich.
