Environmental protection is indeed complicated, and speeding up the process leads to losses because observations are not conducted over time. As a result, we have buildings on floodplains, bringing large expenses to homeowners who bought houses unawares.
Bird counts across Ontario are declining every year, due to habitat loss and climate change.
New housing developments could include heat pumps to reduce emissions, but in our region (Niagara) there is no incentive to do so.
