The amendments to the ESA will greatly negatively impact Ontario’s biodiversity. The impact of these changes is for the benefit of the Ford government and land developers and does not account for the many delicate habitats and ecosystems that have already been greatly reduced due to development of lands, leading to the loss of many endangered species. Loss of biodiversity has been scientific proven to negatively impact the health of humans and these measures have been in place to protect these species and the health of our planet. We do not need more strain on the health of our population. Please reconsider the negative impacts of these changes and maintain the current protection measures in place for the benefit of generations to come.
