The Greenbelt does not belong to any government. It belongs to generations to come. However, the responsibility to protect the citizens of Ontario from the harm of Climate Change, and to ensure the lands that are needed to keep the cycle of life healthy for all, not to mention preventing the loss of land for our agricultural use in the face of grave political maneuvering now or in the future -- belongs to our current Ontario government. The regulations put in place by past governments were hard won by citizens who care about the land we live in and about our children growing up and future generations This bill must not go through.
