This is such a wildly horrible idea, i don't even know where to begin. Our natural resources, especially the ring of fire, cannot be allowed to be wantonly exploited. Just a few days ago, my brother in law, in Yukon, was speaking of a cyanide leak at a gold mine that stands to poison the entire Yukon River watershed. That, like all industrial disasters in remote and challenging areas, serves as an example of not what might happen, but what will absolutely happen if the government allows its contractors to run roughshod over out sensitive wetlands and forests, without oversight and consideration of the human and animal inhabitants there. If there is any doubt, ask the PM what happenedin Brazil when his company dd very much the same approach. It was a disaster that continues to unfold. Doug will just have to find another wa to get kickbacks. Hands off the ring of fire, the James Bay, and the whole boreal forest for that matter. Enough is enough. Grow up and use the problems that actually are affecting Ontarians, like climate change, engineered scarcity, corporate gouging and soil degradation, to solve the economic ones. Your government is an affront to everything decent and will be recognized by history for the disaster that it is if it does not turn course and stop the arrogant and pretentious destruction of our provinces land and peoples.
