I oppose bill no. 5 due to the lack of transparency and benefit to the average Canadian citizen.
This bill is proof of where we (Ontario) fall short in social and environmental security, and there has been very little publication on this matter. As well as this benefits corporations more than the people of Ontario.

The passing of this bill without acknowledging facts and scientific evidence doesn't make a stronger province, it shows lack of values and morals among our government.

Implication of this bill will hurt our country in the long run. These protective measures have been put in place to ensure vitality.

If our land and native species aren't protected, how do we have peace of mind with the years to come?

Our ecosystem depends on all species, and we as humans cannot thrive and survive as our land depletes. Desolate land is not ideal.

We depend on our land for multiple crucial industries beyond commercial/ luxury.

Threats posed with bill no.5:

- Contamination,
-destruction of natural habitats.
- lack of acknowledgment of evidence based solutions
-depletion of ecosystems
-carbon footprint/ global climate change
- lack of protection to the most vulnerable parts of our ecosystem( wildlife, plants, waterways, forests)
- restrains our natural resources in the long term. (Clean water, farming, arbour industries)

Ontario has a duty to uphold Canadas morals and values. I and many other Canadians are disappointed in the negligence of what we stand for as a nation.

What is Canada without its natural beauty?
What is Canada without environmental protection?
How do we as a province maintain Canada's values?
These are the questions DOUG FORD should be answering and providing solutions for, not short term business investments.

Thank you. I hope this is recieved well.
