It is preposterous to give up environmental oversight to industrial and commercial building prospects. The Ontario government has a duty to protect the land and environment from harmful practices that could eliminate any part of our incredibly delicate ecology (flora, fauna, farms, green space) for the sake of big corporate. Ontario needs to move more towards innovative and sustainable building practices to ensure we meet our carbon zero target by 2050 (while also making sure we continue to be able to breathe clean air and eat food from our farms!
