We cannot let developers be the determining factor of how our land is used. If there is no environmental oversight to the impact of new builds Ontario will be destroyed both environmentally and financially. Allowing builders to disrupt ecosystems without proper investigation will have profound impacts to the detriment of Ontarians and wildlife. One of our slogans is “good things grow in Ontario” but allowing developers to disturb the land without knowing the consequences of their actions beforehand will do damage to the good things that grow here. Please don’t allow Doug Ford to gut the systems that are in place that prevent incredible damage to the people, wildlife, and agriculture that live here in the name of “progress”. The only “progress” we’ll see come of this is rich developers get richer and middle and low class Ontarians losing the healthy environment that allows us to thrive.
