These changes to the Endangered Species Act are backward and will be destructive to our environment. When we are jusr beginning to appreciate that diversity in our ecosystem is essential for human survival, these changes that will mean the loss of many of our endangered species will ultimately hurt humans as well. Everything is inter-related. We can ‘t survive without plants. Plants won’t survive without pollinators. They will not survive if someone in government decides a building is more important than their habitat. The actions being proposed by the Ontario government will hurt everyone and everything in the end. We have to find a way to co-exist with nature. Don’t destroy it for short term gain.
