I oppose bill 5. We need to keep strong protection for the endangered species and their habitats. We have already far surpassed the planetary boundaries threshold for biodiversity loss. These species intrinsically deserve to live and thrive in an environment we have already taken away from them. Extrinsically we also depend upon these species for our continued well being and to prevent ecological collapse. The onset and severity of zoonotic disease is already at a high risk, we do not need to stoke this fire any further.
