Protecting endangered species and habitats requires curtailing the expansion of human settlement. It is impossible to simultaneously protect a sensitive area and develop on it. I believe the current procedures are necessary to continue protecting our natural spaces for future generations. I do not support the proposed Species Conservation Act.
