COSSARO leave as is. DO NOT add provision for govt to add/remove species. Govt clearly sides with private sector & cannot be trusted eg greenbelt investigation, not needed hwy 413, MZOs for no reason other than gift to rich friends; dont forget how govt approved contrustruction of a tower in the flight path of Pearson airport. Pearson had to contact govt & say this cant be done.
DO NOT EVER permit industry/businesses to proceed before obtaining an permit. Its complete BS businesses will protect environment and/or species over possibility of loosing 1 penny of profit. Proof those secret meetings with Greenbelt landholders who want to pave the environment sensitive areas of greenebelt and who create more urban sprawl further stressing our resouces and this govt removed development charges benefiting the rich businesses not "the folks" douggie talks about
Enforcement and compliance. The govt has stripped and crippled workforce needed to ensure compliance and rarely if ever will prosecute their business friends. Compliance and ENFORCEMENT must be strengthened.
NEW species conservation program. $20M and voluntary programs is a joke. Industy/business must make mandatory payment upfront as part of permit process for species protection. In NO WAY should taxpayer be responsible and pay for private sector caused problems. Business broke it, business fix it
