I live in Northern Ontario…

I live in Northern Ontario and attended the conference by the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities earlier this week and this is all the ministers talked about. I am concerned by the lack of environmental impacts being considered. Could there be an in between to stimulate economic growth (and decrease the time required for approval which they mentioned could take up to 17 years) but still consider the impact on the environment and our Northern communities and well-being (in the 70s the lumber industry sprayed pesticides which were cancerous for our people)...
