Please accept the following as Staff Comments from the Town of East Gwillimbury on EBR Posting #013-1014 (Proposed Natural Heritage System Mapping). The proposed mapping identifies two areas within the Town of East Gwillimbury as candidates for inclusion in the Province’s Natural Heritage System Mapping. Generally, these lands are consistent with the Town’s Natural Heritage System as identified in the Town’s Official Plan. However, the Province should be aware that the proposed NHS includes the Holland Landing Lagoons, which is a major sewage treatment facility operated by York Region.
