I fear this will cause irreparable harm and damage to wildlife, and I cannot support this proposal. The proposed changes state that, "The government would also have discretion to remove protected species from the list," but nowhere does it explain how the government would determine whether a species should be removed. This leads me to believe that the government is not proposing these changes in good faith. Although housing, transit, and infrastructure are important, I don't believe that the environment and protection for wildlife species should be sacrificed. I sincerely hope these proposals will not be approved, as I believe the existing protections are critical to maintain.
