I oppose bill 5.
Faster economic growth is not worth sacrificing environmental protections.
I especially oppose the creation of "special economic zones" that would be exempt from other provincial regulations.
Our environment is an intricately connected system. Removing protections for certain species and zones will disrupt the balance of that system and ultimately effect our biodiversity, agriculture, drinking water, and future as a whole.
The shortcuts that bill 5 would grant developers put our land, wildlife, and democracy at risk.
