Special Economic Zones Act:
I oppose Special Economic Zones Act as a mechanism for creating law-free zones that could be used to benefit corporations at the expense of the environment and communities.
Bill 5 could disproportionately harm vulnerable communities, including Indigenous communities, by allowing corporations to bypass labour and environmental protections. Weakening environmental protections and undermining the rule of law will ultimately lead to HIGHER long-term costs for society and the environment. STOP Bill 5.
