The governments’ role is to propose, vote on and implement policies. Let the scientists and professionals investigate and dictate what’s an endangered species or not.
The government is opening itself up to many more problems than avoiding. It is blatantly obvious that the government wants to control the status of endangered species to better serve the builders’ want to build.
Please stick to your lane and write policies. You know nothing of ecology, ecosystems, or the sciences in general. Business people and lawyers do not have sense to make these decisions in an unbiased manner.
If you want to institute new guidelines and prevent the existing group overseeing endangered species from abusing their power.
Base your policies on science, facts and evidence. Not emotion.
