I oppose bill 5. I believe it is in all of our best interest and for our ultimate wellbeing to prioritize the environment and all natural species within it. I want strong environmental protections. I do not want shortcuts for industry. The process of building and developing may be slow now but without the proper considerations to the environment and species, we will likely move too fast and make irreversible mistakes that harm our environment and wipe out species. At the end of the day, our environment is our greatest asset and resource upon which everything else is built, and if we damage it, we put the survival of the human species at risk. Let’s be smart about how we build on our one precious earth. The survival and thriving of our species depends on a healthy and diverse environment, so let’s prioritize protecting it.
