This change in act is absolutely detrimental on so many levels.. I am appalled that it has even made it to the table for consideration. Allowing such a Bill would decimate lands and species that live on them and would also hurt the public. For example: a home build on flooded plans will endanger the fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals that live there. Said home would also have foundation issues and flooding problems affecting hundreds of home buyers... I understand that the Environmental Process can be a difficult one at times, but they are there to protect everyone and keep some of our natural beautiful lands intact. This Bill simply allows builders to buy "cheap" lands, avoid the costs associated with proper EA due diligence, and allows them to take major profits. This is not a win/win situation and it's quite embarrassing to call ourselves humans and think that this would be for the greater good... I can list a number of other examples related to the power industry and it's impacts, or indigenous peoples and their lands etc but I'll stop here and just leave this.....DO BETTER!
