I strongly oppose Bill 5.
Fast-tracking major infrastructure projects without proper environmental assessments or Indigenous consultation is irresponsible and dangerous.
Environmental and worker protections are not “unnecessary delays and costs”, as described in the proposal summary. They are a critical step to building a stronger resilient economy and ensuring a safe and healthy future for our people and lands. We must fight to protect Ontario’s environment, respect Indigenous rights, and build responsibly. Sustainable economic growth must come with sustainable environmental efforts to ensure the long-term well-being of this province, including the people, lands, and species.
