This whole proposal does not care about the protection of species at risk. Discontinuing the requirement of waiting for a permit to be issued for activities that COULD result in harm to at risk species is ridiculous. Registration is not enough. The proposal states that it is taking the economic needs of Ontario (I.e. economic growth) into consideration, but that sounds like an excuse to scale back on environmental protections like this. I do not support this Bill and I hope my fellow Ontarians will agree.
