Hello,
The growing concern for leaders being held accountable shrinks in our world more and more. As a Canadian, as an Ontarian every part of our environments we depend on now and in our future has importance and should be properly protected and regulated against Doug Ford and his horrific Bill 5. I highly oppose Bill 5 and hope you can take it into consideration the great damage this could have on wildlife, farmers, ecosystems and everyday workers -and that list goes on. This Bill has not been researched merely just trying to get pushed through for billionaire gains and corrupt government deals quickly without much public knowledge. This is a Bill that disrespects and strips everything the indigenous peoples try and preserve and protect on their land.
I have watched Ontario Place and its ecosystem get wiped out. The old growth tree and the animals that have been displaced from its destruction without any plan in place to take care has been an absolute disaster.
I have seen land that is fertile for growing our food systems in the green belts get torn out for unsustainable deals.
Why would we allow more of this at a greater scale. Please stop Bill 5, we are better than this.
