I strongly oppose Bill 5. Allowing the Ford government to create "special economic zones" where chosen “trusted proponents” are exempt from provincial and municipal laws is a dangerous overreach. This bill opens the door to unchecked development that could threaten endangered wildlife, weaken environmental protections, and undermine essential labour, health, and safety standards. Our laws exist to protect people, communities, and ecosystems—not to be selectively ignored for political or corporate convenience. I urge the government to withdraw this bill and prioritize responsible, a governance that protects both nature and workers.
