this "proposal" is nothing more than a complete gutting of the previous act,
wrapped up in in legalese.
it will not "protect" any endangered species. it will in fact, by the requirement to "register"
a species beforehand, make it impossible to even recognize if something is endangered by
"economic activity".
it could even lead to species that are known to be endangered now, being removed from
their endangered status at the whim of some corporate execucrat,
not by the consensus of scientists and the community
and that "economic activity" is what is really at the hear...sorry, there is no "heart" in this...
really on the trading floor of this proposal.
this is being put forward purely to grease the ways even more than they already are,
for corporate aristocrats to continue to enrich themselves at the expense of the planet
and the creatures, including us, who live on it.
