The endangered species act is so important to the overall health of the environment. The Ontario government cannot relax the laws about the protection of endangered species. We need biodiversity in our world and loosening the laws that protect these animals and our environment is very dangerous. The strict rules and regulations are in place for an important reason: to protect animals from destruction of habitat, and ultimately help prevent extinction. The world is shared by all species of the world, not just humans and sacrificing another species' entire population for human avarice is ethically and morally wrong. I strongly oppose the changes to the ESA of 2007.
