I strongly oppose Bill 5.
This proposed legislation threatens to undermine essential environmental protections, public oversight, and Indigenous rights in Ontario. Weakening the Endangered Species Act and bypassing environmental assessments is not the way forward — it opens the door to long-term harm with irreversible consequences for ecosystems and communities.
We need more transparency and accountability in development, not less. Environmental protections and Indigenous consultation are not red tape — they are vital safeguards for our shared future.
I urge you to reject Bill 5 and uphold the standards that protect people, land, water, and wildlife in Ontario.
