I strongly oppose Bill 5.
It is not in the best interest of the residents of Ontario to implement Bill 5. It will endanger the lives and quality of life for people and wildlife alike. It is our right to live in a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment - as supported by the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. It is also important to note that this act is taking away Indigenous people’s right to free prior and informed consent. Indigenous people need to be properly consulted and cooperated with when discussing sustainable economies and protecting endangered species.
Do better. Make stronger protections for our environment and involve Indigenous people in the discussions.
