As an Ontarian, I do not support this bill. We are in a climate and biodiversity crisis already, and fast-tracking the destruction of ecosystems and endangered species will make matters worse. Intact ecosystems make our communities more resilient to climate impacts like flooding, heatwaves and more. They clean the air we breathe, purify our water, benefit our mental and physical health, and so much more. This bill would negatively impact the health of our communities and make lives less affordable since destroying the local environment makes our neighborhoods more prone to climate risks. Not to mention it'll push more species at risk to the brink. I strongly oppose this bill.
